• Lake Wanaka

Lake Wanaka anchors the region with its calm, expansive water and surrounding alpine views, defined by a wide, open horizon and a sense of stillness rather than steep vertical terrain. • Coromandel Peak

Coromandel Peak offers dramatic, elevated views high above Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps, distinguished by its striking cliff-edge vantage point directly above the lake. • Pisa Range / Mount Alpha

The Pisa Range and Mount Alpha offer wide alpine plateaus and elevated ridgelines, known for their broad, rolling summit terrain rather than sharp rock formations. We access these open spaces by helicopter, creating unique elopement experiences.

• Fog Peak

Fog Peak provides elevated landing areas with sweeping views toward Mt Aspiring and the surrounding valleys, defined by its direct alignment toward the region's highest peaks. The location delivers a bold alpine setting balanced by openness and calm, making it ideal for couples wanting Mt Aspiring as a dominant backdrop. 

• Roys Peak Backcountry Landings (Non-track Areas)

Roys Peak offers secluded alpine viewpoints away from the popular track, recognised for its iconic ridgeline silhouette above Lake Wanaka. Helicopter access allows intimate ceremonies with lake views from this well-known mountain, while avoiding the heavy foot traffic of the main trail. 

• Matukituki Valley

The Matukituki Valley features expansive river flats and towering alpine peaks, defined by its dramatic valley corridor framed by Mt Aspiring National Park. Accessed by helicopter, this area offers a grounded, immersive elopement experience shaped by glacial rivers, layered peaks, and dramatic depth rather than summit exposure.

Near Rob Roy Glacier, helicopter-accessible alpine clearings provide powerful views of icefalls and surrounding peaks, distinguished by their close proximity to visible cascading glacier ice. This area suits couples seeking a raw, dramatic setting shaped by movement, texture, and vertical glacial formations.

• Alta / Alpine Lakes

Alta and the surrounding alpine lakes offer peaceful high-altitude settings with reflective water and open horizons, defined by their smaller, intimate tarn-like scale compared to larger lakes below. Accessible by helicopter, these locations offer calm ceremonies set against compact, quiet alpine basins that feel tucked away and private.

Special Mention: Lake Quill

Lake Quill is one of New Zealand's most remote alpine lakes, tucked deep within Fiordland, best known for its proximity to the towering Sutherland Falls, one of the country's highest waterfalls. While not part of our standard Queenstown or Wanaka offerings, we do offer it as a heli elopement location, suited to couples seeking an ultra-remote, dramatic Fiordland wilderness setting, subject to strict weather, access, and operational compatibility requirements.
